Role Overview:
We’re currently seeking a part-time Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing practice in Lakewood Ranch, FL, specifically to cover our high-demand weekday afternoon hours from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is an exciting opportunity to build your caseload alongside a supportive, expanding company.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Word Therapy, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in pediatric clients during these peak after-school hours. You’ll collaborate closely with families and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs. Additional hours may increase as client demand grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Florida state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong understanding of communication disorders and treatment methods.
- Experience working with pediatric populations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
